Behavioral Profile Program Can Improve Business Performance

Want to achieve higher levels of success in your business? ARBI is now offering an innovative, fun-to-use survey tool that helps individuals and their employers to become high-performing organizations by understanding behavioral preferences.

The profile is an easy-to-complete computer-based survey of 24 questions that asks individuals to choose their most likely and least likely behavioral tendencies from groups of four options. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and results in a highly-personalized 22-page report about the individual’s behavioral style and their value to an organization.

“This is an excellent developmental tool for growing entrepreneurs as well as established business organizations in the area,” notes ARBI’s Executive Director, Jeff Farley. “With more than three decades of human resources and executive management experience, I’ve seen a lot of profiling tools, and this is by far my favorite. This assessment is geared toward helping the individual know his or her strengths and natural inclinations when it comes to important workplace issues, such as communications, conflict resolution, and leadership development. Management can use the results to build a more satisfying and productive relationship with the individual.”

The ARBI fee for the survey, custom report, and a personal phone interview with ARBI’s Executive Director, Jeff Farley, concerning interpretation of results, is $95 per profile. The program is open to all members of the regional business community, whether or not they have a formal affiliation with the incubator.

Bill Long, Vice President of Administration at Adirondack Community College, has some experience with the tool already, commenting, “I think this is a powerful management and individual tool for creating strategies to improve organizational communication and effectiveness, as well as providing individuals with insight for their growth.”

The assessment identifies core personality traits that define how an individual goes about doing his or her responsibilities. The report not only defines unique behavior but also guides the individual (and manager) in leveraging behavior for:

  • Employee Development and Performance Plans
  • Retention Strategies for Key Employees
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Leadership Development
  • Conflict Resolution

The behavioral profile is not an assessment of intelligence, values, education and training, or skills and experience. “Organizations that want to build effective and really productive teams should use this to help people understand themselves and others better. There are no wrong or right answers, and ideally, an organization wants to have a rich mix of behaviors among its employees and management team in order to maximize its potential,” notes Farley.

For more information on this tool, contact Jeff Farley at 761.6007 ext. 303.
