Mark Frost
Publisher and Founder of The Chronicle

After earning a law degree and beginning a career in journalism, Mark Frost started The Chronicle in September 1980 with an investment of $1,700. It took nine years for the newspaper to turn a profit. The Chronicle had its best year ever in 2007 and is well ahead of last year's numbers so far in 2008. The free paper has a staff of 18 people, plus a delivery crew. Besides Mark, four people who joined The Chronicle in its first year are involved in the paper today.
